We’re already a ways into 2025—how’s it going with your goals? Are you sticking with it, or has the initial motivation started to wear off? It’s easy to get excited about setting goals at the start of the year, but what matters most is how you follow through.
If you’ve been to Beo Strength and Fitness recently, you’ve probably noticed the Goal Board. It’s filled with people’s goals for 2025. Some are focused on weight loss, others on performance goals like pull-ups or lifting PRs. Whatever your goal is, the big question remains: How will you achieve it?
Here’s something to think about: A goal needs a deadline, or it’s just a fantasy.
If you don’t like the idea of a strict due date, or you can’t quite estimate how long something will take, you can still make progress by focusing on steady, measurable steps. The key is to keep moving forward.
For example: “I will lose an average of 1 pound per week until I lose 20 pounds.” “I will get my toes to the bar within one month and be able to string three together within two months.”
Setting your goal this way allows for flexibility—a crucial element—while keeping you on track. But flexibility doesn’t mean a lack of structure. It means giving yourself room to adapt while staying committed to the process.
Here’s the thing: You can’t set a goal and wish your way there. You need a clear plan to achieve it. That’s where a coach comes in.
A coach can help you: ✅ Set realistic goals that make sense for you. ✅ Create a step-by-step plan to get there. ✅ Keep you accountable when life gets in the way. ✅ Celebrate your wins—big and small—along the way.
Think about your goal. Is there a clear plan behind it? Are you taking consistent action to get there? If not, it might be time to sit down with a coach. A coach will help you:
Once you have a plan, the next step is to set your intention:
And then comes the most important part: taking consistent action. Consistency is where the magic happens. You need to put in the reps—and keep putting them in. The more reps you put in, the closer you get to your goal.
There's a key mindset shift here: focus on the reps, not the outcome. The outcome is out of your control. What you can control is the work you do. The reps you put in, day after day—that’s yours to own.
So, how about this? Take a look at your 2025 goal. Ask yourself:
If you’re not sure about the answers, it’s time to get some guidance. Meet with a coach. Together, you’ll figure out what’s realistic, what actions you need to take, how often you need to take them, and how to stay accountable.
Because without accountability, even the best intentions can falter. And without action, even the clearest goals remain fantasies.
Let’s make sure your 2025 goals become a reality. Take advantage of the support available to you here at Beo Strength and Fitness. You’ve got a goal—now let’s make a plan to achieve it.
