“I eat really healthy but I don't see any changes!”

Beo Nutrition coaches hear this all the time- Folks who feel like they're doing everything “right” and but they're not seeing results. It can really mess with your motivation and make you feel like throwing in the towel.

There are two big things we think about when we hear this:

First: We’re not always as accurate as we think we are. Studies show that we tend to underestimate how much we eat and overestimate how much we exercise. It's a sneaky combo that can easily derail progress, especially when it comes to body composition.

You’re probably eating more calories than you think you are and not burning as many as you think you do.

We're not telling you this to make you feel bad. But if you’re serious about seeing changes, a little more precision can make a world of difference.

Here’s how you can start dialing it in:

  • Track your food each day, and be mindful of treats and alcohol.
  • Aim for 4-5 days of movement per week. AT LEAST two of those days should involve strength training.
  • Write down what you eat and your workouts for a few days—just to see how close (or far) you are from what you think you’re doing.
  • Consider logging your food in an app for more accuracy, but that’s not a must. It’s about finding what works for you.
  • And finally, take an honest look: are there snacks or bites you’re not counting? Those add up!

Second: Are you sure you’re not seeing ANY changes? Sometimes we overlook the wins because we’re too focused on the number on the scale or something else that hasn’t shifted yet.

Here’s where it’s important to have different progress markers:

  • Are you taking progress photos?
  • Measuring your weight at the same time each day or week?
  • How’s your sleep? How do your workouts feel? How are your clothes fitting? Are food cravings different?

If you’re only relying on your feelings, it’s hard to see progress. But with tangible data, you can get a clearer picture of what’s really happening.

We understand- most of us have been at a point where we just want to blame our age or metabolism. But we've learned from our own experience and from working with dozens of clients over the years that most of the time, it’s not something out of our control. It’s about being honest, educated, consistent, and accurate with ourselves.

So, if you feel like you’re eating well but not seeing results, it might be time to try a different approach. A coach can give you real guidance and help you log real data that shows if you’re moving in the right direction. If that makes sense to you, set up a chat with Coach Bob or Coach Robin at Beo Nutrition. Let’s see if working together makes sense!
